The Rare Auld Times - John Sheahan - 80th Birthday Celebration.
I watched this on TG4 a couple of nights back and very enjoyable it was. Something for the St. Patrick's Day weekend with Imelda May on vocals. Written by Pete St. John (1932 - 2022) it is a fine piece of songwriting and a fine piece of poetry as well. John Sheahan is the last of the original 'Dubliners who were a world wide phenomenon, from a city where there was no shortage of such and just a few left now. But the same is true in every village in Ireland. The characters are gone. That said, after Cheltenham and the Rugby it was some weekend. John Sheahan is a musician, composer and poet.
