Book Launch/Knightsbrook Golf Club!
Eugene Kane of The Meath Writers' Circle is launching his collection of poems and memories at the Knightsbrook Golf Club in Trim County Meath on Monday the 13th of August at 8 pm and all are invited to attend. "Wow ~ words of wisdom and wonder" is a collection he's gathered over the years and on what's sure to be an interesting night some of those poems and memories will be read by both himself and of course, family and friends. Light refreshments will be served and I believe there is some music planned as well. So if writing is your interest and you happen to be in the Meath area why not drop in for an hour or two.

The Meath Writers' Circle/ August 2018!
The August meeting of the Writers' Circle attracted nine in all and was perhaps one of the best of the year with some great material read. Peter Farrelly's story of the conquest of Everest was a fascinating account and contained a lot of detail most people wouldn't be familiar with. Other items covered included the children's poetry competition which was a great success, our annual magazine which is now complete and on its way to the printer and last but not least, Eugene's book launch, which takes place in the Knightsbrook on Monday the 13th of August at 8pm. But more on that to follow.

The Meath Writers' Circle had its second meeting for September last night in order to finalize details for the launch of our forthcoming book, or something like that. The funds are in place, the venue has almost been arranged or agreed on and a number of names have been proposed as to who should do the launch, with almost everyone having their own particular interest or favourite for the night! All that remains is the book and getting the invitations out. More details to follow, I hope, and if it comes to pass you are more than welcome.

Cathy Martin of the Arts Office will launch the second book of poems from Tommy Murray at the Meath County Library in Navan on Thursday night. Published by Lapwing of Belfast "Swimming With Dolphins" is a collection of some of Tommy's favourite poems, and above you can listen to him recite that from which the collection takes its name, or part of !! Details of how to purchase can be had if you click over on the link to "Meath Books" to your right. Start time is 7pm. Date again Thursday 24th May 2012.
