Harold Bloom on Contemporary Poetry!
I will try an find a poem of mine to add something to this but dealing in absolutes is always a dangerous thing. For now give a listen! Whatever it is that poetry should do it should leave you wiser and the medium is not always the message. As a science in itself it is of interest only to academics and if it loses the public it will die.
