The Oliver Goldsmith Poetry Competition 2023!
The closing date for this year's competition is the 28th of April and the entries can be by post or email. Winners will be invited to read their poems at the outdoor event in Pallas on Sunday the 4th of June 2023 with a first prize of €500 and a total prize fund of €800. This is a lovely part of the country and the theme of this year's festival is 'Citizens of the World ~ Ireland's emigration and immigration'. The Judge is Gerard Smyth and the entry fee is €10 for three poems. But be sure to read the rules and conditions. Link to the right - Poetry Ireland or to their website.
