This is one I gave a mention to at about this time last year and interesting in that there are no entry fees and it is open to all poets worldwide. The closing date is January the 15th so still a bit of time with results sent to you by email in March 2020. The first prize is $500 with $400 for second and $300 for third, $200 for fourth plus cash awards for honourable mentions. So, very generous indeed. Finalists will be invited to a reading near Albany NY in May 2020.
There is a one poem limit and poems are to be submitted as word or pdf with a ten word bio in the body of the email. All other details about yourself to be included there also and not on the attachment. If the poem is over two pages long snail mail it to Bob Sharkey, 19 Hunter Avenue, Latham NY 12110 USA.

Checking through the finalists from last year it was interesting to see two Irish names there, including one very local indeed. "The War Room" by John Paul Davies from Navan, County Meath. Congratulations there! Finalists from abroad if unable to attend are encouraged to attend one open mic or other event they would not normally be present at.
