Kristina Train - Saturdays Are The Greatest
Destined to become a classic I would say. Heard it on late night radio and checked out on wikipedia. Born in America but now lives in the UK, I'm amazed it hasn't more hits on it. Reminds me of Nick Drake's ~ Riverman. Captures that lazy Saturday feel..... With thanks to Chromeman who loaded and youtube.

An Tobar/Open Day 2019!
An Tobar/Open Day 2019!
James McConnell and Leona Rennicks |
Made it over to An Tobar, Ardbraccan yesterday for a visit to their Open Day celebrations and managed to get a photograph of two of our "Poetry for Pleasure" group. Many different events going on but didn't get to visit them all, though the surroundings were lovely. The rain came and went and lots of interesting conversation to go with the refreshments, which were free to all! A number of different groups use these surroundings which are located just outside Navan and if you have a particular interest or hobby why not give them a call. Something for the Autumn months! The Meath Writers' Circle/August 2019!
The Meath Writers' Circle/August 2019!
Seven in all (including myself) turned out for the August meeting with the usual round of stories and poems, best ones perhaps a reading by Sean Reilly or Sean Kane. Another item discussed was the annual wreath laying ceremonies for F.R. Higgins and Tommy Murray and that should be sorted out in the next week or so. The magazine is with the printer and a proof copy should be ready by our next meeting on Thursday the 5th of September. Looks interesting but never there until it's there!
